The holiday season is fast approaching and you have special family gatherings, events, and parties to go to. You just can’t think of what to wear that makes you feel luxuriously festive. My suggestion is to add a velvet jacket or blazer to some sharp black slacks or jeans. You can even wear one with your sparkly or little black holiday dress.
There is a ton of velvet out there – and not just in jackets. Pants, shoes, blouses- you name it. Why not add a special velvet piece to your wardrobe this season? Like the velvet kimono from Target shown here.

This jacket you don’t have to wear only to a special occasion. I would wear it this bomber jacket from Macy’s anytime and it will look cool and keep you warm. In a beautiful midnight blue.
Next up, an emerald green more dressy jacket from Macy’s. Simple and elegant. I would pair it with a black dress or pants, but with winter white, it would be amazing.
And lastly, a classic black velveteen blazer from Talbots. You could wear this with literally anything. It would dress up some distressed or dark denim jeans or warm soft dress winter pants and a sweater.
Now as for shoes with these velvet jackets, you could wear anything from boots, short or tall, pumps or pretty flats and everything in between.
