Here is another day when I am tired and sad. My brother-in-law passed away, I had a long trip away for a horse show and not much rest, and my husband has been gone for almost a week. One thing I know to do is to rest. It’s mandatory for me. My spirits always plummet when I am overtired. In my heart, I know that the only thing that will really soothe me is finding a scripture that speaks to me. I have read this one before and it always suits my mood.
Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! Psalm 42:5-6
When my tank is empty I know that God will fill it up again with His presence and His comfort. So I will put my hope in Him who loves me and gives me strength. I praise Him with all my heart and pray that He will lift me up as He has so many times before. Thank you, God for walking this walk with me.
