This is a great question. Do you trust God in your business, both professional and personal? Do you really let Him lead you and trust that He knows what’s best for you??
I was contemplating this today as I was actually encouraging someone by sending them this verse:
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this: Psalm 37:3-4
It’s all well and good to share the scripture with someone else, knowing it will help them in their situation. I believe in the Word of God. But what really made me stop and think was how well did I practice this myself?
I want to trust Him, for sure. I believe that He wants only the best for me. But don’t I always try and run the show? Don’t I decide that this is best way to proceed, that I should follow what the world says I should do?
For instance, marketing experts say I should pick a specific group of people to market my business to..So I do that, only to find that not only is that group not responsive, and I can’t be my authentic self with them. Which makes me feel like something is not quite right. Slightly icky.
Another example: Suppose you have a choice to make in a very important decision in your personal life. Did you ask Him what was best? Or did you logically just list the pros and cons and decide from there?
What I am learning the hard way is to ask God which direction I should go, then for goodness sake, listen for an answer. I have to have quiet time to do that. Then, when I do get an answer, do I trust Him and do it His way? Do you? Even if the world says that is not the way to do it? It’s not easy, but you can do it.
I want to practice this every day. I think some amazing, wonderful answers and solutions will appear. Can you try this, too?
Commit your way to the Lord: trust in Him and do good. And He will give you the desires of your heart….
