All you who are thirsty, come to the water!….
Pay attention and come to me; listen that you may have life. Isaiah 55:1-3
The message is so clear; are you thirsting for something in your life? Is something missing that you can’t put your finger on? Are you discontented, but don’t know why? In my experience, when I was thirsting, it was for something meaningful, some greater connection, something that would fill me up in all the empty places. Nothing in this world could do that, until I chose God and more specifically, Jesus. I started reading scripture, I started praying by talking to Jesus directly. I got to know Him and all He offered me. Nothing else has filled me like He has. The living water that Jesus offers is like no other water. It is the key to eternal life and a relationship with Him.
So what exactly are you thirsting for today? Try reading something from the gospels and see if that doesn’t start filling you up with something different, a cool refreshing you have never experienced before….
Lord, you are all that I need in food and water. Thank you for your presence in my life and how you fill me with Good Things. In Jesus’ name, Amen
