Why is now the time to lose weight and manage your mind?
We are all being inundated with news about Covid-19 right now. Even if you limit the news, you are still getting email, looking at social media, talking to friends and relatives.
It hard not to feel anxious or overwhelmed. I totally understand.
When you are already hanging on to the last thread of sanity, it’s easy to let go of any desire to lose weight or be careful about what you are eating.
We have all kinds of thoughts going on:
“I just can’t take that on right now. It’s too stressful.”
“I’m trying to home school my kids or work from home or do what needs to be done around the house.”
“I’m scared to do anything, because I will catch the virus. What about getting groceries?”
I hear you loud and clear. I’m having those thoughts myself.
And if you are overweight, prediabetic (and let’s face it, we are all potentially prediabetic) or diabetic, you have an underlying condition which could make you more susceptible to the virus.
Although it may seem counterintuitive or impossible, now is the perfect time to manage your mind and your overeating.
Now is the perfect time to lose the weight and manage your blood sugar and even be able to decrease your insulin, with your doctor’s approval.
I was prediabetic and was able to normalize my blood sugar and insulin by changing the way I ate and managing my emotions around food. I had a coach who helped me do it.
Here is one example of how I help myself and my clients keep from overeating, especially when stressed.
Right now, if I am working at my desk and start feeling frustrated, distracted or anxious, my mind turns to taking a break and getting some dark chocolate to soothe my emotions.
You might be doing the same with your snack of choice. If we do that enough in the upcoming weeks, we could put on what they are calling the quarantine 15 or COVID –19 15.
We are thinking about food. We are having the cravings, because we are thinking about the food. So, if you don’t want to be thinking about the food, what do you want your mind thinking about?
We can redirect our brains somewhere else – the task you were working on or getting up and taking a walk, or fixing a cup of tea, or drinking a whole glass of water. Learning how to redirect your brain when you are having cravings is key to weight loss, blood sugar management, and fat loss.
We don’t know how to deal with or feel our feelings, so we want to give into the cravings to feel better.
I can teach you how to manage your brain, your thinking – it all comes from the way you are thinking. You can keep from gaining weight during this pandemic, lose weight and improve your health.
So if you would like help right now, with my quick start program, instant message me or send me an email at jane@janespringer.com. Now is the best time to lose weight, manage your brain, and stay healthy, so you aren’t more susceptible to the virus. I’m managing my brain and you can, too.
